HOME DEPOT ROCKS FOR SENIORS!
MANY THANKS TO HOME DEPOT AND THEIR TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS FOR HELPING US GIVE OUR CENTRE A MUCH NEEDED FACELIFT. YOUR GIFT OF MANY GALLONS OF PAINT AND MANY HOURS OF WORK IS VERY MUCH APPRICIATED BY ALL MEMBERS OF THE BROOKSWOOD SENIOR CENTRE.
On Tuesday, September 27, Home Depot donated 13 of their staff members and many gallons of paint and painting tools to our centre. With the help of several BOAP members, the Home Depot team was able to repaint the lobby, fireside lounge and chat room. They brought enough paint to allow line dance members Andy, Keith and Stan to paint the kitchen. They also brought paint for Peggy, June, Bonnie H. and some Home depot people to paint the shelves in the chat room. Erik and Gloria organized food with Marian our Meals on Wheels lady to feed our hungry workers and they were very grateful.
Several other BOAP members helped in the kitchen. Namely June, Astrid, Mildred, Diana and Tina. Line dancers Bonnie, Iris, Diana, Bianca, Hildegard, Sandra, Stan and Peggy brought sandwiches and sweets to add to our bountiful luncheon. WAY TO GO TEAM BROOKSWOOD AND TEAM HOME DEPOT. Go in to HOME DEPOT Langley and say, "THANK YOU"
